The World's Wound

Last week my new Piano Quintet,The World's Wound, was performed by Ricardo Odriozola's ensemble in Norway.


The piece is based on Peter Birkhauser's painting of the same name:



The performance was very encouraging:




This comes at a time when the composing is making its presence felt. It's as though things move in cycles.


A new piece is also in sketch form.


Meanwhile, guitar and flute practising continues as well as a further Colin Vearncombe essay. Part one of the King Crimson writing is complete to be taken up in the autumn.
