Really, really sad news about the passing of Peter Sinfield. Peter was King Crimson's lyricist from 1969 to '71. He went on to write for ELP and many other musicians and also recorded his solo album, Still, released in 1972...
I first met Peter at the Public Hall in Preston, Lancashire, in 1971 after King Crimson had performed there. He operated sound and lights. Afterwards, I had a good chat with him and Robert Fripp.
After Robert had invited me to write a diary for the DGM website in 1999, I began to write about King Crimson's music and spoke to Peter many times and visited him in Aldeburgh. He'd often send me books...
When David Cross and I released our first album I asked Peter if he'd write us two haiku which he very kindly did...
Peter also told me a lot about the likes of Marc Bolan, Tammo de Jongh and Richard Gardner in relation to the early days of King Crimson.
When I was ill with a really bad cough he sent me some cough medicine which had an immediate effect.
I liked him enormously and will miss him.

Respectful tribute that reflects on the life and contributions of Peter Sinfield with genuine appreciation. The article balances information and admiration in a way that feels both engaging and sincere. I recently came across a discussion on https://www.globalmoldsolutions.com/ about honoring influential creative figures and their lasting impact, which connected naturally with this piece. This was a memorable and thoughtful read.

This post had a very reflective and personal tone that drew me in. Sometimes less explanation and more feeling works really well. I’ve https://www.poppyseeddreams.com/ seen similar thoughtful writing on that resonates in the same way.
This was such a thoughtful and moving tribute to Peter Sinfield. I really appreciated how you highlighted not just his musical contributions but also the personal stories that give a sense of his character and influence. It reminded me of a discussion I recently saw on a review blog https://www.phonydiploma.com/, which explored similar reflections on artists’ legacies and the importance of preserving their stories — it offered an interesting perspective as well. Thank you for sharing this meaningful piece.
