A holiday in the Lake District. For me, something of an emotional return.


We went to Loweswater where we stayed with two excellent friends.


Walks up Low Fell, Loughrigg, Lord's Seat (the same day as meeting a good friend), Rannerdale Knotts, Lattrigg and Mellbreak. All to be seen in the Lake District Micro series here:



Then back to Ireland to continue the season's walking in the Wicklow Hills (see also in Wicklow Micro series [above]). The sweet grasses and slate of the Lakeland give way to the un-walled, heather-clad hills of Wicklow, each having their own unique beauty.
